Tom Madison

Thomas Henry Madison AKA "Tom" Madison is a convicted sex offender and activist who has dedicated his time to the reformation of sex offender laws. He spends much of his time acting as if he were a victim rather than an offender, claiming that sex offender laws are unfair and unjust to the point of making it impossible for sex offenders to survive in our society.

Convicted in 2000 of charges related to the sexual abuse of a 16 year old girl, he took a plea bargain and received five years probation for his offense. Part of his sentence is that he is required to register as a sex offender. Disgruntled with the requirements of his registration, Madison joined a group called SOhopeful Legal Defense Fund so that he could actively participate in raising funds to try to change Oregon's sex offender laws. Madison's involvement in the group's efforts lead him to taking SOhopeful to a higher level, creating SOhopeful International, which was to serve as a political action group far beyond the purpose of the SOhopeful Legal Defense Fund. He served in the role of the first Executive Director during the start-up of the organization.

Since the creation of SOhopeful, Madison went on to create SOclear Media Corporation, Inc., but still serves as the Finance Director for SOhopeful. Through SOclear Media Corporation, Inc., which recently underwent a name change to SO-Clear Media Productions, Inc., Madison uses a variety of media to spread his propaganda regarding sex offender laws, through lectures, rallies, YouTube videos, MySpace, etc. Madison's current goal is to get his message out on national television. In addition to his activism, Madison owns a company which promotes renewable energy solutions. He is married and lives in Oregon.
